Hello Jera and fellow classmates. I was going through some of the blogs, and I have to say that there is one that stood out the most. It was about the irritating system that ITT runs with. I don't agree with the "3 consecutive absences in one class, and your dropped" bit. I think it is undermining our intelligence. Frankly if someone doesn't want to keep up with class and their assignments, then why should ITT baby that person. LOL with that being said, yes I missed class tonight. And I'm quite sure it won't be the last. However, I'll keep up with my obligations, and see to it that my work is finished. I'm quite sure there are many of my classmates that are capable of taking care of business. Everyone I've spoken with seems to understand the concept that, if they consistently miss class and fail to turn in work, they will likely have to repeat a class. And let's face it, who can afford to repeat it? Seriously, who wants to waste time repeating classes. Not me. Well there was my input, as redundant as it may be. That's really all I have to say.
Take care,
Kristina Kerns

Attendance is a tricky question. By not attending, you do miss quite a bit of the classroom experience and the educational material being covered. That being said, I have taught at universities where attendance was not a requirement. Of course, those where 1 hour classes three times a week as opposed to three hour classes one time a week.
If you end up missing three classes in a row you are obvoisly not as committed to your education as you should be. I'm not trying to be mean. Maybe its just not the right time for you to be attending school full time. That is a lot of information and a lot of money you will be missing because you couldn't work out the schedule. Granted, this campus is new and has a long way to go on accomodating the scheduling needs of students but would not tell you that when they are trying to get you to sign up for their classes
