I will tell you the first thing about riding a motorcycle. First you have to get your license. You can take a class at any DMV or any other designated locations and the cost is $100. When you get your license you can officially ride. The next thing you need to do is take care of safety which would be to buy a helmet, gloves, jacket, and maybe even some riding glasses. Now its time to ride. You always want to check your gas before you start so you want be stranded somewhere on the side of the road. You put on your safety gear and start up. If you know how to drive a stick shift then riding a bike wont be to hard for you. You put the key in the ignition and shift it into neutral. You always want to let you bike run for a min before you get on if it is your first time riding of the day. Once its ran a little you jump on a slightly bring it up to take the kick stand up. Next you hold the clutch with your left and the brake with your right hand and push it into first gear. Now to get rolling all you have left to do is let go of the brake and slowly give it a little gas with your right hand. Once the bikes start moving take your hand of the clutch and when you hear a loud roaring sound you know its time for you to shift. To shift all you have to do is to hold on to the clutch and shift up with your left leg, and keep repeating that until you hit fifth gear. That how you ride a motorcycle.

A journey to success in this town, this state and the country will not be remunerative if it is bereft of some kind of formal post secondary education, in my opinion. With that I will briefly touch on my what education, training, and overall experiences has been within the last decade. I graduated from high school in 2000, worked a few odd jobs until signing up with the U.S. Army during the summer of 2001. Part of a delayed entry program, I would not be shipping until almost a year later. During that time I continued working around town mainly through temp agencies. From June 2002 to June 2007 I served in the signal regiment, and decided to attend college after my discharge. It wouldn't until after new year's 2008 that I managed to enroll into school, and intend on staying with this until it is complete.

Chronological Story

Well this weekend I had to rebuild my wooden deck out in front. I started by unscrewing all the planks on the old deck and stacking them. Next I took out all the rotted wood and post. Then just made a list of all the things I would need to complete the project. That's all I did on Saturday.
Sunday after church my wife made me get out there and finish what I started. So I went to Lowe's and got my lumber and screws. So then I built a new frame for the deck. Next I elevated it off the ground. I finally screwed all the planks back on and now have a new deck.

boring weekend

well last friday was pretty fun. when to my old home town in hobart to go watch the homecoming game. it went pretty well and they also got a win finally. after the game i went to go hang out with some of the friends that i used to go to high school with. the town was pretty much the same and nothing changed at all. same ol' boring town just like when i left. got home around four in the moring. well actaully it was like at three, but my friend that went with me live in edmond. so i went to go drop him off at home. finally the next two days were really boring, because i didnt even go out or do anything other than just staying at home and do nothin at all. sunday was really boring and i was kind of freaking out, because i couldnt really think of anything to do at all. so i pretty much just slept and watch some football on tv. well thats pretty much how my really boring weekend went for me.

one of my possible topics could be drugs and alcohol uses between teens and young adults, find out why they feel a need to use them and what are the effects of using drugs and alcohol, the consequences they face when using drugs and alcohol. another topic i could talk about is the national rate of highschool dropouts, find the causes of a young person to drop out of highschool or middle school, show the futures of some people who decided to take that road of dropping and use their experiences to show others that sometimes its worth staying in school. thats just some of my topics that im thinking about writting about.

Ok, I was born Oct. 14, 1977 at Children's Hospital in Okc. I almost died because the placenta came loose from me causing me to bleed and have seizures, so I had a blood transfusion from it and also crossed eyes. I had 3 different surgery's on my eye's to straighten them. I had to wear glasses with prism's in them ( they had lines going down all the way across the lens) when I was little, oh the four-eyed cross eyed teasing that came from that was just great. Then beginning around age 5 I was molested and it went on for five years. And still to this day one of the pricks is still living life like nothing ever happened. I am on a anti-depressant because without it I am even more emotional and angry, and it help's a little I guess. I remember my mom alway's working to pay the bill's because my my dad's an alcoholic and was on drug's, so the fist fight's they got into was real good to have to see. At age 17 I got pregnant with my oldest son and of course his good for nothing "dad" wanted to screw around with me and everyone else he could, so I was a single mom for quite awhile. BUT thankfully I met my husband online one night playing a game, we talked on the phone for about a month I think, then I took a bus to North Dakota to finally see him in person, we knew each other for about a month and a half and got married, and still are to this day, he's my soul mate. So now I have 3 gorgeous boy's ages 13 (next month), 8 and 5. My son who is 8 has Autism, so that has been pretty stressful, but I wouldn't change what I have for anything in the world. Also my dad has completely sobered up, he and my mom was divorsed for 14 years and now there back together and doing so much different than before, kinda wierd to see them the way it was and how it is now. I'm sure I could have put some other thing's in between but can't think of exact stuff right now.

Blog #4 (story using chronological method)

One Long Weekend
This was a very hectic weekend for me! It all started around 7:45 pm Friday, September 26th. My uncle was helping his friend move and had asked if I wanted to buy a 57" big screen T.V. for 150.00 dollars. I said "sure" because I figured that it was a hell of a deal. When I went to go check it out, my uncle's friend said "so you got my 200 bucks?" The T.V. wasn't even in great condition, so I was not about to pay that amount. There were cracks and crayon markings on the screen from his kids. I told him I only had $150 so he could either take it or leave it!
My uncle had to tow it on his trailor, so I told him that I would pay him back.
Around 9:00 pm that same night, I brought him a six-pack and helped him work on the cars that he was asked to fix. At about 11:45 pm, we finished and my cousin asked if I wanted to hang out with him and his friends. He got really drunk, so I pretty much spent all of my time trying to watch over him! I got home at approximately 4:00 am knowing I had to get up early for Saturday's class. My wife turned off the alarm, so I woke up an hour and a half late for class! By that time, it was almost 11:00 am so I figured that I might as well go to work. My wife didn't want me to work all day because she wanted to go get her hair and nails done so she could go out with her friends that night. I was genuinely pissed at her and did not want to see her face at all! I worked 12 and a half hours and didn't get home untill about 12:15 am. She was so upset with me, that when she left at 12:45am she did not come home untill 5:00 pm on Sunday! The only thing I was upset about, was that my daughter wanted her "mommy" after a while.

My Life Up To Now (blog 4)

Ok the the last one was a mistake I'm sorry

I was born on Feb. 1st 1988 at OHM now OU medical center to the parents of Mark and Debra Adamson. I was the 2nd child of the 2 the first being my sister Jennifer Adamson. I grew up in OKC, and lived near OCU not the nice part but the slums around it. I went to Headstart for 2 years and after that I went to Gatewood Elementary. I went their until the 2nd grade. They found out I had speak impediment and hand spasms that prevent me from doing school work so I was held back and went to Hawthorne Elementary. While there my parents split up and my dad moved out. They always had issues but they finally had enough. My dad returned when I was in the 3rd grade and that really mad me sad. In the 4th grade went crazy and throw a chair at a substitute teacher was was suspended for a week. After I returned I was in anger management classes until the 6th grade. After completing school I went to Taft Middle School where I made a bad joke and was suspended from school until the 7th grade. From 7th-8th I had a semester talk to make sure I was ok. After middle school I went to Northwest Classen where again in the 10th grade made a bad joke and was in anger consoling. If you haven't notice I had anger issues. Well want changed that and made me the person I was today was in Aug of 2005 I had a big fight with my sister and the end result was 3 scars on my arms and index finger to answer any questions why I have a huge scar on my arm and why I wear my black shirts its to hide them. Well after that dumb injury I was alone. At the same time my dad got an infection and was basically dying in front of my family so he was in the hospital until halloween of that year. So for 2 months I was depressed and was angry at him and the same bs drama in hs. After that crap the next year my mom had Lapband surgery and I lived with my aunt. Same loneliness different place. At Christmas Day I moved back in with my dad and my mom and later on in January of 2007 my parents fought and I almost beat the crap put of my dad. If you haven't notice I hate my dad. Well we moved down to the Paeso area and lived there for about a year. Then we moved to the house we are living in now. Well about 3 weeks ago when I started this class my mom broke her leg and finally she is home so I been dealing with that crap and that's about it. I don't have stories about my kids or my life is full of stories and adventures. I'm a 20 single guy living at home and did nothing really exciting. And I was reading some of your guys blogs on here and you were sick of what you were doing and joined ITT Tech will for me I don't know how I join, one day they called me and had an interview then next moment i was in school. I don't have a real good reason why I'm here but the reason is I want to make friends learn skills for a job I want to go and to see the world and not just different parts of Oklahoma. The farthest I ever went to that I can remember is Fulton, Missouri. I want to see the world and be happy tired of living the past and remembering the bad times. I know life is more then memories. But that's a different topic.Well I think that's it. Thank you for reading.

Old riddles

Late because of the dificulties on blog day 1.

1. Why was the barn so noisy?

Because the cows had horns.

2. Why did stupid run around the bed?

To catch up on his sleep.

3. Why did stupid take a ladder to school?

Because he was in 'high' school.

4. Why did stupid tiptoe past the medicine cabinet?

He didn't want to wake the sleeping pills.

A Day (Story)

As I observe those around me going about their lives; I can’t help but ponder the differences between now and when I awoke. Today people are always on the go, never staying still, always late for something or another. People are living in a shell where no one notices anyone else, much less their surroundings. It’s gotten to where the only passing comments are: “Get out of my way!!”, “Watch where you’re going!!”, not to repeat any of the more profane comments made. Then there is the matter of the affluent being idolized for being affluent; it seems the more money one has now the more one is looked up to; even when that money was gotten illegally.

Compare that to when I awoke; it was a more peaceful time. It was a time where people lived their lives. It was when everyone, no matter how “busy” had time to spare. No one was in a big hurry; in fact if someone was late it didn’t matter; after all things did come up to cause a delay every now and then. It was a time when people had passing conversations, and not even business related ones. It was a time when people were recognized for their accomplishments, their helpfulness, and their honesty. It was enjoyable and prosperous.

To humans a day is a small segment of the time they spend on earth. Yet if you can compare a day from one era to another you can see the differences between them. You will see how with the progression of technology people have changed from a very companionable species to a very uncivilized, manners wise, species. I guess this is why after all these years it is much easier to find those upon whom I do not mind nourishing myself. After all it is very hard to slay someone that greets you properly; wouldn’t you say?

A "Mind Expanding" trip to Key West

Years ago, in land far far away called Fort Lauderdale, there was a naive young sailor who was stepping off an aircraft carrier for fleet week. He had a couple buddies who lived in the area pick him up for a couple beers. Soon a couple turned into seven or eight and they were off to Key West for a day on a druken whim.
Three hours later they stepped out on the overcast streets of key west looking for a good time at "Sloppy Joe's". It was a fairly low key bar in the middle of the island, but these boys were looking for something slightly more stimulating than low key.
Fifteen beers later they giddily stepped back out onto the street to take in the scene and look for some trouble. Trouble found them in the form of a homeless guy with a sea weathered look about him. His fingernails were black and his hands bore caluses over an inch in width. He proceeded to tell them that he had just what they were looking for. I won't bore you with details, but we'll just say it was mighty popular in the sixty's, and Key West.
The rest of the night sped up and blurred together. This wayward sailor had just embarked on quite the adventure. Before all was said and done Key West had felt the impact of the visist to the tune of three huge bar tabs, one broken window, one trashed hotel room, and one stolen moped.
When day dawned the next morning, this young gentleman found himself aimlessly wandering the streets in a torrential down pour. Friendless, with no clue who or where he was he simply walked on. Luckily for him, he got a fortuitous visit from an old friend. You guessed it. The ragged gentleman from the evening before informed him that he knew exactly where the young man could find his partners in crime. But before that, would he like to meet "the captain".
Turns out this guy was part of a drug ship crew that ran back and forth from Cuba, and the captain was their fearless leader. Not being in the greatest state of mind, he joins the crew and embarks on a pleasure cruise with the strangest "homeless" people of all time. The strange captain regals him with thoeries of how time travel is possible and the fastest sea route to Cuba.
Out in the open sea(about a half mile)the conversation took a turn for the worst. No I don't mean worse. The crew becomes enamored with tales of keelhauling. This is apperently a practice of throwing unsuspecting idiot Navy guys overboard and leaving them to fend for theirself.
A strong half mile swim later, off the island of Key West during shark season, he drags his half dead body onto the shore. As he raises his gaze from the water to the shore line, he grabs his first tiny bit of good luck for the entire trip: its the hotel where his amigos and he had rented to crash in the night before.
They had apparently already checked the hospitals and police stations. They were in fact handing in the room key to the leave island forever. As beaten military man trudged to the hotel office he ran into the group. A smile, shake of the head, and some keys in the ignition was all the explantion necessary.

Blog #4 My Life Chronological

I was born February 6th 1984 here in Oklahoma City. On July 6th 1984 which is my mother's birthday we moved to Chicago Illinois. Where we lived on the lower South Side. When I was 13 years old I was blessed and jumped into Gangster's Disciples. It was a changing point in my life. I didn't join the gang because I had no family. On the contrary I have a great family that was caring. I just happened to live in a bad neighborhood and everyone in my school was a GD. My parents worked a lot so they could make ends meet so I was home at night by myself a lot. When I was 14 I got arrested for selling crack. I was 15 years old and I was expelled from school and brought home by the police for being involved in gang activities. There was actually 31 people expelled that day. My parents decided then that it was time to move back to Oklahoma. My parents first sent me to a small town called Drexel Missouri. This was my Sophmore year of high school. My sister lived there at the time and it was sort of like a transition to get me used to something smaller. What my parents did not realize was that the town only had 900 people in it. I would compare my time there to masturbating with sand paper. It was so excruciating. Not only was it small but most of the people there were redneck. Then half way through my sophmore year my parents finally moved me to Oklahoma City again. I moved here not really knowing how to act. I was a bad kid who didn't care. I didn't have any homies down here so I was pretty much banging by myself. Then at the age of 17 in 2001 I talked to an Army Recruiter. He started talking to me about seeing exotic places, meeting exotic people, and killing them. It sounded like it was just up my ally. So I signed up between my junior and senior year. Once I graduated highschool I left for the Army. It was great. They taught me discipline and team work. In may of 2003 I found out my girlfriend at the time was pregnant with my son. So we got married on May 17th 2003 and I deployed to Iraq on May 20th 2003. I came home on leave on Dec 9th of 2003 and my first Child Kenny Logan Berry was born on Dec 11th 2003. I got out of the Army on June 17th 2005 and joined the national guard. My wife didn't like being an Army wife. Nothing to interesting happened really until my Daughter Reagan Zoey Berry was born on March 19th 2006. Then in December of 2006 I got divorced. It was cool I filed the ex wife was crazy. Then on May 19th 2007 I was on my way to the store on my motorcycle to get a pack of cigarettes when a Chrysler 300 decided to run me over and drag me for 30 feet. It was just a bad day really. I ended up breaking 24 bones where they had to put 2 plates in my right shoulder, 2 plates and 2 bolts in my pelvis, and a rod in my left left. I also severed my liver, collapsed a lung and got 3rd degree burns on my back from the exhaust of the ladies car. The police officer decided that because I had a mohawk and tattoos that I was automatically a drug user so he followed the ambulance to the hospital so that I could be given a drug test. Well I ended up spending 3 weeks in ICU on a breathing machine. Then I spent another 2 weeks at OU medical center and then they moved me to Valir Rehabilitation Hospital for a month. They finally let me come home in the middle of July. The only problem was I was still in a wheel chair. This didn't work for me very well. I have always been a very independent person. I had having to ask for help. The worst part of all was that I had really bad nerve damage in my right hand and the doctors didn't know if I would ever be able to tattoo again. Also my children didn't understand why daddy couldn't get in the floor with them and play and why I daddy couldn't give them baths or go outside and run and play. I think them not understanding was probably the hardest part of it all. The doctors told my family that I wouldn't walk again until at least thanks giving. Well I am very non-compliant when it comes to doctors. I can't tell you how many times doctors would cuss when they were talking about me. Well at the end of August I walked into the doctors office pushing my wheel chair. He was mad but at the same time understood how I was. Finally in December I got my hand back and I decided then to come to ITT Tech. I almost wasn't able to tattoo again I needed something to fall back on. So here I am still can't walk through metal detectors and still a bad ass that doesn't care what people think about me because they can't whoop me.

Random Thought of The Day:

Kinko's. Don't be fooled by the name. It's no sex shop and don't bother asking to see the good stuff in the back. You'll be asked to leave.

My Fav game seris

The legend of zelda first landed in america in 1988 the same year i was born. Well if you havent figured out i like zelda lol now you did. One of my favorite things about zelda is the storyline and the background story. Its more then just running into monster and finding zelda and beating the game. No, the backstory on how she was taken and what happen when she was taken in why I like it. My favorite titles in the seris is Majora's Mask and Windwaker. Majora's Mask was different in alot of ways from the other titles in the seris but that's another time, just the fact that the background and the plot had nothing to do with hyrule or zelda makes in on of my favorite titles. In addition I liked windwaker for the same reason as Morja's mask but with the cell shadding and the fact it screwed up the timeline that other zelda made.

Time line of my life story

I was born in Lincoln park, Michigan in 1986. I lived there until i was abut 8 years old, about that time is when my mom wanted to move to wilburton, OK we lived there in the mountains wright behind wilburton. At first we lived in a army tent for about a week then my step dad built a shack for us to live in. We lived the for about 6 years with no water and no electricity. So in about 2000 we moved back to Michigan for about a year then my mom but a school bus and we drove all the way to Alaska in it.
We lived there for two years. My family was there for one of those years and i stayed the other one by myself . So about the end of 2003 i moved back to Oklahoma to live with my sisters. In about 2004 i went to job corps but didn't like it very much so left in 2005. But later on that year i went back to give it one more shot. I took the security trade. During that time i got married but that did not last. I had went to Texas for about a year. Then in 2006 i moved back in with my sisters again. And so from 2006 to the present there were a lot of bumps in the road but i made it. So know i go to school and work and live by myself paying all my own bills. So there is a short story for you, If you don't like it i don't give a s**t.

I'm confused

I think you're going to have to start labeling your blogs with the assignment number. Blog #1 was the joke, Blog #2 was anything, Blog #3 was brainstorm about one of your favorites and/or your possible topic, Blog #4, due next week, is writing a story/make an argument using one of the approaches discussed in class.

Visual Media for Thesis topics blog

Although I am not choosing to use any visual media on which to base my thesis I will be using the entertaining documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 by Michael Moore as a primary research resource in making a persuasive statement within my total thesis.

Book/Genre

I first want to say thank you to J. Callaway. I do actually own the book "I Hope They Serve Beer In Hell" By: Tucker Max. Very good book. So I decided I would write my blog on the book. You are right when you said I would be reading the book and be like I have done that before. Because well we are both jerks and have no problem admitting that. He likes to party just like me. Tucker Max writes for the men. It's like the self help books for men. But without all the love myself b.s. that are in those books for women. Yes doing a report over a book of this type of genre would be great but I doubt many women would appreciate it.

Random Thought of The Day:
A sofa made out of butter is not a practical thing. It would melt or go rancid. Neighbors would probably complain about the smell and when the cops show up thinking that they've stumbled upon a crime scene all they would find is a sofa made out of butter. A smart cop might ask 'Where did you get so much butter from' and you might panic and say 'Oh i bought it at the supermarket there was a good sale'. But he would be on to you and they would search your house and find those cows and vermont farmers that you were holding hostage in the basement. Thats when you would kick yourself for getting greedy and wanting a butter sofa.

favorite show

I would have to say I am hooked on Fringe right now. It's a great show and comes on one of the nights I'm off from school. I've always liked science and the show goes into a lot of sciences we don't normally hear about. I was into the X-files series and this new show is somewhat like that.
Haven't really been into any new shows or movies for a long time. So I guess it would have to be pretty good in order for me not to miss an episode. Everyone should check it out. You'll like.

Assignment

For my paper I'm going to write about human behavior. I'm trying to narrow it down to a limited subject, such as human interactions, namely from there something like "personal space." Or, something I know very well, that is procrastination.

Favorites

My favorite shows are reality t.v. I can watch it all day everyday. My favorite ones right now are Real World, I Love Money, New York, and Survivor which starts today. You get to see people at their best and worst. Its always drama filled that is for sure.
I really not for sure what i want to write my paper about yet. Its between Binge drinking and college education in prison. Binge drinking because i want to know why people do it the cause and reason behind it. College education in prison because i want to know what the public thinks about it and how the inmates feel about it also if it is helping or hurting us.

C.S.I

I am going to write my paper on C.S.I jobs all of them or try to anyway. because i watch all of them and i think all there jobs are very interesting and i want to know more about them. Because on the shows one c.s.i does a lot of jobs but in real life it takes about 5 people to do those jobs. So that's what i am writing about...its going to be so cool

import face-off

Well today some friends and I all went to Tulsa this moring to go to a car show. We all thought it started at 10 but ended up being like an hour and a half early. So we all just sat there lookin at all the cars that were getting registered to enter to get into the car show. It was pretty fun other than the fact that i got alot darker and I also have a really wacked tan line. It's all good though, because atleast I didn't get sunburn like alot of people that went there. All the drag race, stereo competition, burn out contest and over all style were alot better than the one that was here in Oklahoma City. Tulsa had alot more cars people and nice lookin girls that did the wet t-shirt contest. We ended up staying there until it was over and I didn't even feel like driving back two and a half hours back home, because I was so tired on the heat and being a little hungry too. Show ended at six and I didn't get home until about nine o'clock, because I went and got some food to take home to eat and by the time I got home I was really starving. Now I am sitting here typing all of this and now I am about to go to sleep, because I got to go to work at eight tomarrow and I wont probally get home around ten later on the night. I'M OUT.

Tv Show

Gonna blog about my favorite tv show which is Forensic Files. I watch it everyday, so much that i've pretty much seen every episode that's been on there. When I first started watching this show how ever long ago it was, is the reason I am in school now. I find everything about forensics very interesting. I also have had a interest in the medical field, but I think that's why I am so into forensics because in the lab you are testing DNA and such and well that's obviously medical. I have my diploma in Medical Transcription but decided it wasn't really what I was suppose to do. The show doesn't really tell how the test are done, but you get a pretty good idea. I just think it's awesome a twenty year old case could be solved by the new technology and better forensic testing we have today. That's my dream that I will be able to solve a cold case and put some family's mind at somewhat ease.

Brainstorming on Paper

This is a pain to do this way my intrnet at home is down and I am having to spend gas and money to get this online before class. Not only that I have 2 disabled parents at home that need me to take care of them when I'm not in school. Now about the paper and possible subjects I am trying to come up with one that ties into my major (Information Technologies) and since I did one last quarter on the history of the hard drive I believe I'll do one on something like the history of the CPU or personall computers who knows still trying to nail it down. I could do something about the need for better Online security for personal as well as business networks. I mean there is alot of possibilities with IT. I do know it will be on something either directly involved with my major or some offshoot of it.

I also am still a little disgruntled over having to come to a restuarant that has wifi to do my homework. I know it's not your fault that my Internet connection is down; however I still don't see why we need to blog about our paper online? Yes I am being distracted from my brainstorm be my environment as well as theses questions. I hope to get some answers from both ends of my concerns soon.
As to the possibility of this being my topic; it is a possibility but like I said it is still in the process of being shorn down to a specific topic. So I do know it will work for a general topic.

Fantasy Football

It's that time of year again. Football season is upon us and has officially overtaken baseball as America's favorite pastime. This has never been more evident than in the case of fantasy football. I used to hate fantasy football because I thought that it took away from the purity of cheering for your team. However, I am a Detroit Lions fan and we don't have much to look forward to each year. I did remain slightly loyal and took Jon Kitna as my QB this year. This craze has swept the nation to the tune of millions of people with an ever growing number of female participants. There are several aspects to fantasy football to cover. Seventy percent of peoples fantasy teams are managed at their job in the office. This is a real problem and causes a loss in production that can actually be tracked. For advertising gurus F.F. is a godsend. Every site players can use is littered with advertisements thus bringing their clients a lot of extra cash. Its like getting superbowl commercials on for a fraction of the cost. I now follow every game with a fervor I never had before. While I'm watching these games that I would have never cared to watch before I am once again bombarded by commercial advertisement. I'm assuming that this can only help an ailing economoy. Lots of companies have now blocked access to yahoo and various other fantasy football haunts on their specific intranets. I'm sure that hasn't slowed down some of your more creative employees(i.e. those who can use their cell phones) In many cases you really can't blame them because they have money riding on league. Some leagues have only an up front fee. Others have charges for every trade you make and side bets on a lot of the games played on Sunday. There are a lot of "free"leagues that will charge you money for amenities such as up to the second stat tracking and automatic player updates or injury reports. Its probably more addicting than gambling because you have some much control over the outcome and are so many sources for reasearch. How good your team is, is really up to you by the end of the year even if you started out with a poor one. In fact, its probably more satisfying if the you began the year with was terrible. The same pride of ownership come when you get done with a fixer upper car or house because you put in the time, work, and resaearch to make it great. I know any girl I went out with would become infintely more interesting on a date if she had a fantasy football team and could speak knowledgeably about the league. Well the book said to freewrite for about ten minutes and I am fairly confident I could bust out 6-8 pages on the topic of fantasy football, so that is all for now. Jonathan

Damn Hurricains!!!!!

Well, it's my basic knowledge that a blog is basically some where you go to complain about what ever is bugging you at that particular moment. What's bugin me are these damn hurricains. My boyfriend has been out of town for almost a month a still won't be home for about another two and weeks or so. First he was in mississippi, then they moved on to lousianna, and now they're in houston, and probably going on to galveston. I'm stuck in this big house all bymyself. Working two jobs and going to school with no one to come home to. Plus, all this damn home work and nobody to help me with it. It's alot easier to write multiple papers for multiple classes if i have some one to help with the research. I miss him, and want him to come home.

Is it me or that is stupid

Ok I don't have much at ITT that makes me mad but whats with the TVs all over the place. I mean the student lodge with 2 is ok but whats with the TV in the hallways? Also what is up with the one in the student libary. I mean is a libary not a lodge. It distracts people from researching and doing what they do in the libary. Also whats with the prices of drinks? When I had my interviews in apirl it was 1.00 and now it's 1.35. It's weird. Also the lack of programs give to students. I mean i took intro to design last semster and didnt have the programs to learn to use in the class. Wouldnt make more since to give students the resources to learn with rather then waster money on a 38" lcd tv in the hallway? If they are going to put tvs why not put the in the restroom doors. Why not waste money where you make waste.

I know this wasted your time but thats what i think

Comments

Feel free to continue to comment and discuss on the blog if you would like. I'm going to try to comment on everyone's posts individually. I may point out some English Comp things along the way to help us all with our writing skills. Let me know if you need anything.

I don't know

Hello Jera and fellow classmates. I was going through some of the blogs, and I have to say that there is one that stood out the most. It was about the irritating system that ITT runs with. I don't agree with the "3 consecutive absences in one class, and your dropped" bit. I think it is undermining our intelligence. Frankly if someone doesn't want to keep up with class and their assignments, then why should ITT baby that person. LOL with that being said, yes I missed class tonight. And I'm quite sure it won't be the last. However, I'll keep up with my obligations, and see to it that my work is finished. I'm quite sure there are many of my classmates that are capable of taking care of business. Everyone I've spoken with seems to understand the concept that, if they consistently miss class and fail to turn in work, they will likely have to repeat a class. And let's face it, who can afford to repeat it? Seriously, who wants to waste time repeating classes. Not me. Well there was my input, as redundant as it may be. That's really all I have to say.

Take care,
Kristina Kerns

My ITT experience

During my two week class break from my last quarter I was contacted by my department head Mr. Saunders who informed me that I would be repeating two classes in my next quarter. While I take full responsibility for not producing the required home work necessary to pass the College mathematics class I was also told I would be repeating Composition 101. I was a little distraught by this as I knew I had earned at least a high "B" if not an "A" for that classes grade.
Earlier in that same quarter I had met with Dean Doyle Watson whom I had discussed my concern that with my new job as an electronics technician which required me to travel that I would have conflict with my courses. He assured me that ITT would work with me and my work schedule and that I would be able to make up for both the Composition class as well as the college mathematics should I have absences due to work.
It was explained to me that because I had "3 excused" absences( two of which were caused as I was at Mercy Hospital with my Wife Heather the second absence in which she gave birth to our beautiful Son Logan Wayne Siebert).
The Third absence occurred as I was assigned to a job site in Ada Oklahoma the Wednesday before my last Composition class by my employer. I was driven to the job site by my supervisor so i had no vehicle of my own to return to Oklahoma City to attend the last class.
Being cognitive of this fact I desperately attempted to contact both my instructor Michael Jennings as well as the Dean, Mr. Doyle Watson that I would be incapable of attending class and to learn if there was anything I could do. I received no calls from Dean Watson nor Mr. Jennings until late Thursday night well after the last class of composition 101 had let out. I spoke with Mr. Jennings as to my concern of my grade in his class at which time he assured me that as long as I submitted my final assignment as well as two other assignments that I would be fine.
Now in my fourth quarter of my first year I am being forced to repeat a composition course which I already passed with at least a high "B" if not an "A" for my overall grade with no better explanation than that ITT operates by some supposed law or rule that states no student is allowed to pass a class if they receive three or more absences in a row.
It seems absolutely ridiculous that any educational institution designed for continuing education for adults which  ITT Markets to would make it impossible for any persons to make up class time or perform some type of task that would allow them to pass a course if their grade was passing and their absences occurred through extraneous circumstances.
To date my experience here with ITT seriously fails as to my expectations. The staff and faculty expect adult students to put their "Institution" above all else in their students life's negating family, self, perhaps even religion (if a student is expected to miss church just to keep up with the ridiculous amount of "Independent Study" ITT requires).
If you are a working adult professional seeking to improve yourself through academic study to further yourself or provide a better life for you family, do your self a favor and look into local State accredited  community colleges or vocational programs as they are locally owned and operated and your tuition will be absorbed by the immediate community and not a faceless corporate entity.
ITT as a corporation as well as some of their Instructors should be ashamed by their lack of ethics both in the class room as well as their marketing tactics, lack of technology which they heavily advertise is current and state of the art which is in the majority obsolete, and an overall lack of intrest by the instructors in their students which provide their pay checks. Do yourself a favor and ignore ITT commercials. ITT is a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How I am Feeling

Take note of the picture people; it is about I am feeling after the 25 minutes that I have spent trying to get onto Google. Don't get me wrong they have a great search engine however the subscription services and I have always had problems. Take this Blogger sign up that we just went through; it took me 25 minutes to get on here just because it didn't like my password.
It is about how most of life has seemed to be; so why should it be any surprise? If one thing isn't giving me a problem it's another. You know it wouldn't be so bad if we could keep it from getting like this but hey what are we to do?
Anyway I am a very excellent reader as well as math and logic oriented in my learning style; my weak point is usually writing about things. So for some reason I am not looking forward to this class.

LOST...

Wow I am so lost. I gues thats what i get for not coming the first day of class, anyway just doing what the instructor said, which i am not sure i understood. mmmmm..... yea i am LOST... HELP!!!!!

Recent news

When I came home today from work I heard that there was a shooting not too far from my home. I rarely watch TV so I went to one of the news channel's websites and noticed that there were several shootings this month. I opened the report about the one that happened closest to my house, which occurred at Jimmy's Round Up Cafe, a place I've been to a few times. The man who was shot and killed was an employee there for 8 years, and was gunned down by two men who specifically asked to see him.

Another shooting happened in Bethany, in which police officers opened fire on a suspect. From what I gather the man was running from them because he had a suspended license. When he jumped out of his vehicle he started firing at the officers, so, naturally they fired back, killing him.

While crime my not be real big here in Oklahoma City, to me, it seems like it's getting to be a dangerous place.

Birthday Weekend

Thispast weekend was my birthday, if anyone would like to know. I went to my hometown to visit and what do you know, a few of my friends decided to throw me a birthday party.
That started the whole night, I seen some friends I haven't seen in a while, met new people,
drank some good beer(it's not a party without a little alcohol).
All in all I had a good time, it's always nice when your friends do something like that for you.

my day

I hope tomrrow is not like today. I want it to be far more better and have a lot if fun in it pls.

Irony

Elliot Ness has always been one of my favorite heroes. He was an agent from the Department of Treasury who worked with the FBI. He was assigned to lead a task force that was supposed to take down Al Cappone and his illegal alcohol establishments. This was durring the era of Prohibition.

When he and his collegues refused to accept bribes from Cappone and his men, the press labled them "Untouchable!" Even though Elliot Ness is the name associated with taking down Cappone, it was really the IRS who nabbed him for tax evasion. After the decline of Prohibition, Elliot Ness retired and and developed a drinking problem!

Parade of Homes

Over the weekend my girlfriend and I went and looked at houses that were in the "Parade of Homes" of Oklahoma City metro area. We traveled to multiple additions that were in the "Parade of Homes" guide. They ranged from $200,000 t0 over 1 million dollars, and there are a lot of homes that are cheaper than that range of prices.

The homes that we explored were furnished, and some were not. The homes that were furnished, and had different colors of paint for each room to giving the rooms each a theme made the home a lot more interesting. All the homes that we saw had incredible landscaping, and that made the homes more appealing. The builder's did an excellent job with the curb appeal on the homes.

This weekend my girlfriend and I and maybe her daughter will go look at some more "Parade of Homes" to see what else is out there.

My Pride And Joy!

I have a three year old little boy that means the world to me. He is actually three going on thirty-three. Everyday he comes up with something new. Now he is into repeating everything he hears. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
He is very smart for his age, at times I think to smart for his own good. He knows his ABC's, 123's, his colors, age, and his birthdate. He was born two months early and his weight was only 2lbs 12oz. He has come a long way and I am very proud of him.

Restaraunt Ettiquite

I would like to share a little about something that almost everyone can relate to. I'm fairly confident of this because you have all gone out to eat at least once in your life. If you have not, then please pay even closer attention the words that right now are flying off my keypad. We're going to go a little something called restaraunt ettiquite.
The service industry is a college student dominated field, and most of those servers are just trying to make it by until they settle into a career. The fact that they are serving you does not mean that they are suckers or that you are better than them. They just happen to be humble enough to serve others which would actually classify them as better human beings. Learning a little humility would strengthen anyone's character. As one of them, I implore you to treat them not just as an equal, but with the respect one should be shown that is handling your food (carefully, or not that carefully is up to you).
Here are a few tips to ensure you get attentive and enthusiastic service wherever you decide to satisfy your culinary needs:

  • Do not stop your server everytime they pass you table. Your are ensuring that everyone , including yourself, will get bad service by burdening them with many unnecessary trips
  • Do not tell them you are ready to order unless you really are. The time for questions about a menu is when your beverages have been delivered. NOT when they stop whatever they are in the middle of to breifly take your order and it takes 10 minutes to do so. Once again, this is not just to respect your server. This is so all other guests can recieve prompt service.
  • Do not try to make up your own menu items. If you can't find something you enjoy, you probably should be eating somewhere else.
  • Please call your server by name. This is quite obviuosly just polite
  • Lastly and most importantly, TIP correctly. These guys only make half of minimum wage and they are just trying to get through college. If they gave you a great experience the proper amount is 17-20 Percent.

Random

Today was a pretty nice and calm day for me at home. All my kid's were away in school so I got to take a nap, yah me, guess you know your getting old when you need a nap, ha ha ha. The drive to here today was alright, just to far.

My tooth is really hurting, man I wanna go home. Anyway, don't really have anything to write about i'm listener not a writer :-)

i have no idea what im doing

My weekend was really boring, because all I did was work. I didnt get to go out or have any fun at all.
Today was a really boring day. All I did was pretty much sleep in till about two o' clock. Then after that I went and brushed my teeth and grabbed something to eat at sonic and then came back home. So about five o' clock rolled around. I drove all the way to Edmond to go get my check from work. Then afterwards I left Edmond and now I am sitting here in this class typing up a blog on the computer. Witch I kind of have no idea what i am writing about.
This weekend is going to be alot better, because I get to go to Import Face-Off in Tulsa. Cant wait for it and the week to hurry up and be over again. I'm done now, because I dont like to write this stuff.

work and school

Sometimes I wonder how am able to make to class. I'm up at 6:00 AM and am up till after school. So tired when I get off work and just want to sleep. But instead I go home and just start getting ready for class. It's not only effecting me but my wife as well. We're were married a few months ago. So of course we both feel that I should be at home at nights. So when I'm at school she is home alone. Always have to remind myself of what it's all for.
I want to be able to have all the nice things we like. Wouldn't mind having the extra money to spend. And of course to find a better job. So it's all worth it in the end. Worth putting in the nights and weekends for a better future.

The last four days went

Well lets see, Friday i slept till 2 in the afternoon then watched a few good men till about 5 then i cooked my boyfriend dinner. And about 9 i went to the club with my best friend had a blast got home and went to bed.
Now Saturday got up at 8 in the morning to come to class and froze to death. But was a good class, learned a lot about police stuff. Then went to a party that i cant write on here about. I went home and took a nap, then my boyfriend made me dinner and it was great. Then i went to the club again and had a blast. and my cowboys WON yeah!!!!!!!!!
Sunday just sucked had to work and we were very busy. After work i went home and watched movies all night.
Today was worse cause my speaker at work was broke so i had to run back and forth to get the orders. But my boss wants me to be a shift leader, that means more money which is great.

The Coldest Winter Ever by Sister Soulja

The Coldest Winter Ever is the best book ever! its about a girl who's father was a drug dealer, so she grew up with a lot of money, had everthing she wanted. Until her house was raided and her father was taken to jail, her mother started doing drugs and got lost in it. She moved in with her boyfriend who was also in the drug game. She was with him for a while until she was caught cheating and got put out, so living house to house with friends she stumbled upon a mansion of a lady named Sister Soulja, Soulja took care of another girl that was just like her.

So the girl moved in and Soulja told her the rules and so on and so forth, but the main rule was to not go down stairs the mess with the mean dentist (who was a lady). But the disobedient girl did it any ways got yelled at by the dentist, did it again and they became good friends. Eventually Soulja got the girl on the right path and....I don't really remember what happened so if u want to know u gotta read the book, it really is good.

Past weekend

well over the weekend really didn't do to much but hung out with friends and didn't think anything about work. Well on friday the first part of the day i had to wake up at like 8:30 to get ready for work because if i didnt get up earlier enough i probably would have just slept in and not cared about the job i had to go to (laughing out loud). ok so after getting ready i headed to work where i spent a good 8 hours of my time to get all of the stuff i had to do done on time. after that i left around like 5:30 and went to go hang out with my friends and did that most of the weekend. that all im about to write it aint much but its here lol

Random Thought of The Day

Sometimes it might happen that you get the idea to duct tape your child to the dog and pretend that you are at a rodeo. It doesn't mean that you are a bad person for having these types of thoughts but putting up signs advertising a baby rodeo apparently does.

These are some of the random thoughts I get through out the day. I don't know where I come up with some of this stuff but I do. It could be from all the weed I smoked when I was in high school. Maybe it's from all the beer and liquor I drink every week. But regardless it's some funny stuff. Everyone at the tattoo shop love to hear my random thoughts and my stories of drunken debaucheries and and exploits.

I am the type of person that really doesn't care what people think of me. I am twenty-four years old and pretty much a horrible person. I wont deny that I am actually working for an upper management position in hell. I just hope the beer is cold and they allow me to tattoo.

Free write: Today..

Where to start.. I got off work at 5 A.M. and then didn't home till about 5:45, and to bed till around 6. Then I had to get up at 9:30 to come back to the city to pick up my check, cash it, pay bills etc.
Then I had to pick up my daughter from my grandparents house cause they kept her the last 2 nights since I've been sick. Then I had to be at a dentist appointment by 2:15, and was there for about two and a half hours.
After all that I had to go straight back home to get my stuff for work, and head here to be at school on time. From here I have to go straight to work till 5 in the morning again, so yeah I'm a little tired. But it's cool, I've got tuesday and wendsday off.

"That's pretty wild man. How about the hook?"
"Lost during a sword fight while the crew was mutinying."

"No. A bird crapped in my eye."
