As Airborne school drew closer to its end, the anticipation of jumping out of an actual airplane was eating the soldier alive. Although he was tired of having to run everywhere he went in order to build up his leg muscles, he still wished that the training would last forever. He knew that in order to graduate, he must successfully complete 5 airborne jumps. The first jump was with no equipment. The next three would be with equipment, and the final jump would be at night with all of his equipment.
The time was now! He knew there was no turning back. At 1200 feet in the air, it was a little too late to say "Sorry Sir, but I'm just not feelin' this whole jumping out of a plane thing!" His mother used to tell him that he was crazy and she didn't see why any normal person would want to jump out of a perfectly good airplane.
His knees trembled as he shuffled toward the rear of the plane. The light turned from red to green. One by one he watched as the soldiers in front of him took thier "leap of faith". As the soldier flew out the door, he realized something was terribly wrong. The first jump isn't supposed to be a night jump, he thought to himself. The young soldier's eyes were closed!

Narrative
My son is the joy of my life. He is very full of life but it has not always been so great. We had a difficult time getting him brought into this world. When I was seven months pregnant I went into the doctor for a routine check up and my blood pressure was so high they told me that they would have to take my son early. I was in the hospital for 3 days waiting for my pressure to go down. It never did so on the fourth day i prepared for surgery. My son would be born two months early and may have complication for the rest of his life they told me. The operation went well my son was born and weight 2lbs. 12oz 14in long. He remain in ICU for a month and a day. When he was released he had to be feed 2oz of milk every three hours. They said he might be behind mentally. He is now 3 years old going on 23. I don't even think i was this smart when i was his age. He has grown so much since then and has never been behind. He is defiantly a gift sent from heaven.

I wake up and enthusiastically jump out of bed. I half-walk, half-jog to my computer in the cluttered dining room. In my haste I trip over a greasy brown pizza box on the floor and plop down in my cushy blue chair.
As I open my laptop I can barely contain my excitement enough to wait for the correct application to begin running. There are lineups to pore over and injury reports to inspect. There are weather conditions, game time statistics, and trade offers to consider. I must win this week or my playoff future is in jeopardy and I may not be able to financially justify my moves. It is Sunday morning an I am the owner and coach of an N.F.L. franchise.

The Hunt
a baby mouse, I can see something in the distance moving slowly. I wonder what it is, could it be a rabbit, a snake, a tiny doe? I try so hard not to make a sound, I can feel my heart beating faster and faster, I wonder can this thing hear it pounding uncontrollably. As I lay there on the hard unforgiving shards of bone dry grass, I can feel something driving into my thigh. I can't move, if I do than I may never find out what I have found trying to be as sneaky as me.
As time goes on in this misery, I finally see my chance to pounce!! It's eye's that had been glowing my way like a freight train in the distance have turned. I make my move as fast as a bullet, it doesn't have a chance. After being in aww of myself for such a perfect catch, I look down to see what my prize this evening will be. To my very unbiased eye's I see a something that looks like spikes. I feel so much pain, what did I do. As I look to see why I feel like I have been shot with thousands of needle's, my prey takes this chance and run's like he may never again. After feeling like a failure, I one by one pull the sharp long spikes from my body. I will have to plan this better if I want to succeed in my future. The hunt continues.......
Narrative A Hunt continued…

After hearing her shrill scream I stop and ponder the ramifications of just leaving her there unattended in such a state, after all wasn’t part of the circumstances she was now in due to me? I turn and start back to where I had left her, as well as the drained scumbag. I hesitate a moment at the edge of the clearing, just out of human sight. I see that she has crawled a small distance from where she was assaulted, as well as away from his corpse, where it looks like she has collapsed again. Making up my mind I first tentatively reach out with my mind to make sure that she is unconscious. I make sure that she will not awaken easily.
I move like the wind and swiftly and as silent as death can be scoop up this young lady. I gently cradle her in my arms as I swiftly fly to my lair. I enter and lay her upon a comfortable couch in my front hall. I then make sure that the doors and windows are properly locked and sealed before returning to her, by way of the kitchen; where I grab a glass of water, a wet cloth, as well as a glass of blood wine. I make sure that the water is on the table beside the couch and gently start cleansing her face with the cloth while relaxing my hold upon her consciousness.
She slowly comes around blinking a few times in the subtle lighting. ‘Where am I?’ she asks. ‘Well milady you are in my home.’ I reply which causes her to focus her eyes upon my face. ‘You’re the one that killed the guy who attacked me; Aren’t you?’ she exclaims in a strengthening voice, as she suddenly tries to sit up. I then realize that she was not as out of it as I thought when I was playing with that scum. I am also rather relieved when she lies back as in relief saying ‘Thank you for doing that though you shouldn’t of. Now the police will be after you. Why didn’t you just subdue him instead of killing him?’
I ponder all this has I sit there on the edge of the couch. I take a drink of my blood wine then assist her with a drink of the water I had brought her. ‘You didn’t ask why I returned and took you away from the scene. After all if I had left you there in your condition they would have possibly thought you killed that scum.’ She thinks over that reply and states the obvious ‘Yeah they could have been that stupid. After all if I had that type of strength do you think he would have done to me what he did?’ as she start to well up with tears. ‘I mean I’m no vampire like you.’ She states out of the blue. I really take a moment to probe her thoughts then and realize that she has been watching me for a few years. She knows more about me then any other mortal and never told anyone about me. I also realize that this young lady is in love with me, and was in that park to find me. Now I know why I went back for her; I felt her call me with her heart.

One of my favorite places to go in the summer is Cedar Point. Its 'America's Rollercoast". Having the BIGGEST and FASTEST rollercoasters in the world! Actualy they are called 'stratracoasters' cause of the whole biggest fastested thing. Anyways, the best ride to get on is Top Thrill Dragster this sucker shoots from 0 to 120mph in like...1 second literaly, launching you 420 feet straight up into the air, it so insane! Then you curve over a lil hill at the top and your then facing the ground and there is this whole g4 or g5 feeling i forget the right one but its the feeling of weightlessness and its kinda freaky since your soooo high up and you just have a lil lap bar on your waist. Then you fall straight back down at 120mph! When it finaly stops (giving you a lil whiplash) its realy funny to look around at everyone else cuz their hair is all still whisped back like the wind was still roaring through it haha. Cant wait for next summer to ride it some more!!
Descriptive Writing
I was out riding my bike the other day and it felt like somebody moved the sun right in my path. It was so bright I could barely open my eyes to see which is not safe.
I went by my parents house yesterday and when I walked through the door this sweet smell hit me. She was cooking peach cobbler and it smelled delicious.
My brother woke me up yesterday and about gave me a heart attack. He has this roaring voice that just shakes the whole house.
I have these favorite sheets I like putting on my bed. they are silky and smooth and feel so comfortable.
When i tasted that peach cobbler and my parents house it was indescribable. Just let me tell you it tasted like a piece of heaven. It was so warm and sweet. Heaven on earth.

"Sense"-ual
As the warm sun penetrated through the open window, it embraced the cold skin of the drunken old man who was suffering from a throbbing headache. He could barely stand as he tried to shift his weight off of the itchy, sheet-less mattress. As he finally rose to his feet, he swayed back and forth while stumbling through the hall making his way to the bathroom. He let out an exaggerated sigh of satisfaction as he relieved himself at the stinch filled toilet. He started to smile when the sweet aroma of morning breakfast engulfed the humid morning air.

The wide glass doors reluctantly swing open. Tall columns, aztec patterns, and marble are prevelant. It smells of charbroiled food and a mass of humanity. As bite into my thai pasta I taste peanut butter, spices, and hint of white wine. Plates clatter and people chatter. I feel the high energy from them staff. Where am I? At the best restaraunt in town: The Cheesecake Factory.

The placed me outside today. It was a sunny and peaceful day in the garden center. The area was calm and tranquil. The typical squawking of birds can be heard and the blaring of car horns for the interstate help make my mind wonder away. I could smell the flowers, sweet and subtle differences in each flower. I could tell what kind they were, but my knowledge of botany is faint. I had a coke with me. I drank it once in the while, the bitter and sweet flavors made the day more pleasant as the hours tickled by. The wind picked up for a second or two. The soft breeze, the zephyr like quality made my head cold. I wanted to stay there all day but that wasn't so. I went to lunch and then blacked out. I wish work was like that everyday.
Logos-An estimated 146,000 Americans died of lung cancer in 1992, and 90 percent of these deaths were caused by cigarette smoking. Smoking is responsible for about 30 percent of all cancer deaths annually in the United States more than 155,000 each year. If smoking-related cancers could be eliminated from our society, we would see a significant decline in the annual cancer death rate instead of small but steady increases. Pathos-It can be hard to resist the cute puppies and kittens for sale in pet store windows. But a closer look into how these stores obtain animals reveals a system in which the high price that consumers pay for “that doggie in the window” pales in comparison to the cost paid by animals who are sold in pet stores or forced to produce them.
That adorable little scamp in the store probably came from a “puppy mill,” a breeding kennel that raises dogs in cramped, crude, filthy conditions. The majority of these facilities are in the Midwest, but kennels can be found throughout the country, and some dealers even import puppies from other countries.(1) Constant confinement and a lack of adequate veterinary care and socialization often result in animals who are unhealthy and difficult to socialize. As a result, many are abandoned within weeks or months of their adoption by frustrated buyers—further exacerbating the tragic companion animal overpopulation crisis.(source http://www.helpinganimals.com/Factsheet/files/FactsheetDisplay.asp?ID=45)
Ethos- The Federal Bureau of Investigation is struggling to find enough agents and resources to investigate criminal wrongdoing tied to the country’s economic crisis, according to current and former bureau officials. (http://www.nytimes.com/2008/10/19/washington/19fbi.html?_r=1&hp&oref=slogin)

A Hunt

As I prowl the ebon night, I hear the throb of my prey's heart. The acrid stench of fear fills the air as I approch my evening meal. In a quivering voice my prey stutters out: 'Wwwhat do you want from me?' I actually find that this question amuses me. After all it has been quite awhile since I have had prey that actually had the nerve at this point to put together a coherant thought; much less ask it of me. 'I see that you have some backbone to you for one that traffics in human misery, and deception.' I reply. He than has the gall to think that he can buy his way out of being my meal. ' Heey maan I can get ya some of whatever you need man; money, drugs, broads anything man. all ya got to do is tell me and I'll get it.' I appear to consider this scums offer, after all it has been a long time since I have gotton this much enjoyment out of one such as this.
I smile toothely at him making sure he sees my canine enlongating. ' Well you see scumbag all I need from you is a simple thing. You see I saw what you did to that little one back there. All you need do is ...' I pause a moment for effect; as well as to watch the sweat roll down his face. 'return what you took from her.' He then relizes there is no way out for him other than to try to flee. His eyes dart from my face to each side and back as he tries to decide what to do. I decide to have mercy on his overtaxed brain, and end his indecision. With my hand I grab his throut and lift him from the ground where he was sprawled. As I choke the life from him I look back to the wreck he left behind. I pity the young one that crossed this ones path before I did. She is still lieing where he raped her slowly coming back around. I relize if I am not to cause her any more trauma I must end this. With a quick jerk of my wrist I snap his neck with a wet pop. I then cut open his neck and poor his blood into my "blood bag" for later. I then move stealthly away as to not gather any attention to myself has she sits up wobbly, and tries to peer into the darkness around her. A few moments later I hear her shrill scream come tearing out of her throat. I worry about her state, after all for everything else that has happened to her this night she could very well think that she killed the scumbag back there.

Blog #7
For blog #7, write a descriptive passage of 1-2 paragraphs. It can be related to your paper, or unrelated if you prefer. Please remember to focus on words that appeal to the five senses.
Due Next Week 10/22
Remember that you need to turn in a statement declaring your audience and your outline next week. Both documents should be typed and double spaced. Declaring the audience should only be one to two sentences, and can be placed at the top of the page (share the same page as your outline). The outline should be detailed, and should list the thesis, as well as your supporting points, plus any evidence that you plan to introduce.
This does not mean that your paper will not change as you write; that may happen. This is a draft outline. Let me know if you have questions.

A short story about ME!
Back in 1985 there was a young lady, about the age of 18, and a young boy about the same age. They were highschool sweethearts and were together....alot. Nine months later, july 25th 1986 to be exact, I came along. My dad (that young boy) joined the army and my mother and I followed him around from base to bas in places like Virginia to Georgia to South Carolina. Finaly after 7 years we moved back home. I started school, that lasted about 13 years. Made some friends, got named my schools sweetheart and then graduated in 2004. Then came the real world, boy did it suck. Bills, college and having to actualy do my own laundy. But as the past fours years have went by I have learned to deal with these things. Now here it is 2008 creeping up on 2009, who knows whats to come. But there you have it my life in a nut shell!!!

I saw this lady get cut off by a guy and she yelled out loudly 'What's wrong with people'. I thought it was a good question and wanted to say 'People take shits and pretend to wash their hands by running the water. They cup their smelly farts then cook a meal. They pick their crusty scalps in public. They kick ugly dogs. They jerk off to wal mart flyers. They ask to borrow 5 bucks for lunch and never pay you back. They cook fish in the microwave. They cut their nails in public. They wear white socks with dark pants and shoes. They laugh for all the wrong reasons. They piss in your sink. They pretend to sleep when old people get on the bus. They have more than 6 items in the express aisle. They squeeze and feel the bread at the bakery for no reason. They taste the grapes with their shit caked hands. They pronounce schedule as 'shed-ule'. They shit on the seat. They shave their pubes but nothing else. They whistle all the fucking time. They don't die when you smash bricks over their heads. They laugh at stupid jokes and when they laugh you see their really white teeth and search for bricks to smash them all out. They fake cry at funerals. They are stinky like milk. They sound like a horse when they eat. They buy really expensive water for the bottle not the water. They use gay buzz words. They pay 5 dollars for coffee. They breed.'
In the end I didn't say anything to the lady. She looked like she was on her way to score some crack and I had a feeling that she really knew what was wrong. Stupid cow.

Logos, Pathos, Ethos
Logos- Most adults that go to school at night have a full load. Myself like most of us have children or work to deal with during the day on top of everything else that might come up. We have to make time to study or try to do homework during the day or night. We come to school and night and some of us have to leave from there and go to work. You have to be very dedicated to what you want to do so you will stay focus and don't slide off the mark.
Pathos-I believe that the Murrah building has affected us all in one way or anyother. It brought us together as one unit. Even know alot of people had to die i believe it strengthen us in the long run.
Ethos- I believe that the enviroment you live in dictates the way you live. If you were taught to take what you want by any means possible. Your mind set would be totally different from someone who has had everything handed to them.

Aristotlian Philosophy
Logos(logical)-- I, along with most other Americans, enjoyed great economic prosperity when Bill Clinton was in office. I always had a job and never lived paycheck to paycheck. This made him a great leader and president. During GB Jr.'s term in office I have often been out of work and relying on credit. Not to mention the lies about W.M.D.'s to get us to go to war. This therefore makes G.B. Jr. a bad leader and horrible President.
Pathos(passionate appeal)-- The sound of a ringing bell is resounding in ears of investors around the country. We just had the worst week in the stock market ever. People are losing their homes. Every day a parent loses a child in a ridiculos war in Iraq. How long will it take to get people to wake up and get the republicans out of the oval office?
Ethos(Ethical)-- The problems facing our country today are many, with few answers readily available. No one person or party can be blamed for all of America's misfortune. Bush made some bad choices, Congress has blocked some his better ideas, and the American people keep spending money they havn't made yet. One thing is for sure; we need to see sweeping reform or our country's future is in dire straits.

Pathos Logos and Ethos

Logos (Logical)
All people are mortal, yet the ancient Egyptians believed that the Pharaohs become gods. The Pharaohs, like everyone else were people. It then stands to reason that the Pharaohs were mortal and not gods as the ancient Egyptians believed they would become.
Pathos (Emotional)
Pharaohs were beings of immense respectability, and deserving of such praise that they were worshiped as gods. Through the service and praise that the Egyptians bestowed upon these deserved few they were granted a place with their Pharaohs in the afterlife.
Ethos (Ethical)
The ancient people of Egypt believed that by their devotion and service to their Pharaohs they were guaranteed a place in the afterlife of peace and prosperity. Contradictory to this belief is that of Christianity; which states that the way to ‘Heaven’ is through Jesus. These ideologies are comparable in that they both claim that a mortal man upon death ascended to a higher plain of being. This is not to say that either is correct or wrong, only that one’s faith is the deciding factor.

The company that manufactures the greatest number of women's dresses each year is Mattel. Barbie's got to wear something. So when everyone thinks they are buying this years top designer. Yeah you are but Mattel most likely made the dress for you. Its okay because all the rifles that the U.S. Military uses is made by Mattel too. So at least we all know that Mattel is always the lowest bidder for everything we enjoy.
Random Thought of The Day:
I heard someone say that they lost a bunch of weight on the south beach diet which I think involves eating silicone and doing tons of coke. I'm somewhat surprised that in the world of fad diets and sex fiends that the all sperm diet hasn't found a following. "Sure my jaw hurts all the time but i've lost 15 lbs and my husband says it's good for my skin." The all sperm diet would put an end to husbands throughout the world working late at the office. The headline in the business section would read: 'Kleenex stocks at an all time low but the CEO's are smiling'.

Random Thought of the Day
Lesson 1 for the new father : When the sleep deprived, worn out mother of your child takes off her shirt and unleashes her massive, milk engorged, and super sore titties to feed your hungry, crying offspring that she endured countless hours of pain and suffering to bring into this world. Do NOT under any circumstances no matter how funny you think it might be say the following 2 words. "National Geographic".

Please write evidence in the forms we discussed in class: Logos, Pathos, and Ethos. Feel free to use evidence for your final paper. You can use any evidence to provide examples.
For Instance:
Logos: The average American spends $84 dollars on candy a year.
Pathos: When I was a child, I remember being really amazed at the Willy Wonka Dinosaur egg. I would by it at the corner store. I remember loving it because not only was it rare that I had the money to buy candy, and this one lasted forever, changing colors as it slowly yielded a sweet, powdery center.
Ethos: Many people believe that children should not have unlimited access to candy. That is an idea that most people would support. Candy can lead to childhood obesity, cavities, and hyperactivity.

Funny HaHa #1
A 6 year old and a 4 year old are upstairs in their room. You know what? Says the 6 year old. I think it’s about time we started cussing. The 4 year old nods his head in approval. The 6 year old continues, when we go downstairs for breakfast, Imp going to say something with hell and you say something with ass... The 4 year old agrees with enthusiasm. When the mother walks into the kitchen and asks the 6 year old what he wants for breakfast, he replies, aw, hell, Mom, I guess Ill have some cheerios WHACK! He flies out of his seat, tumbles across the kitchen floor, gets up, and runs upstairs crying his eyes out, with his mother in chase, slapping his rear with every step. His mom locks him in his room and shouts; you can stay there until I let you out! She then comes back downstairs, looks at the 4 year old and asks with a stern voice, and what do YOU want for breakfast, young man? I don’t know, he blubbers, but you can bet your fat ass it won’t be Cheerios!

Sources for CPU paper

The sources I have found so far that are useable are: http://www.pcmech.com/article/a-cpu-history/, and http://www.geeks.com/techtips/2005/techtips-NOV22-05.htm. Both of these sources cover some of the points I am wanting to cover in my paper.
I haven't got to look through them thourghly as of yet so I am sure that both also have some stuff that I will not use. over all I believe that both are good sources for my paper.
